Let's talk about prep, baby.
+ TIMING IS EVERYTHING
We always suggest tanning 1-3 days prior to your event whenever possible. Tans take a full 24-36 hours to fully develop, even with the rapid formula. Tanning the day of your event is possible, but not recommended especially in the Texas heat.
+ SO FRESH & SO CLEAN
Shower 4 or more hours before your tan using a sulfate free liquid body wash. For best results, please don't shower or shave right before tanning and for the love of Butter, please do not use anything by Dove. We repeat: for best results, please don't shower or shave right before tanning! We want a clean canvas, meaning no lotion, makeup, perfume, or deodorant, but showering right before tanning can negatively affect the skin's pH levels.
+ DON'T HATE, EXFOLIATE
Always exfoliate at least 24 hours before tanning + be sure to moisturize after exfoliating. A loofah won't cut it, babe. We have body scrubs + exfoliating mitts that get the job done right.
+ SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST
Schedule any pedicures, massages, waxing, and facials for at least 24 hours before your tan. The spray won't affect the polish, but the lotions + oils can interfere with the solution if done same day. Even if you shower before your spray tan, residual oils from these services will negatively impact your tanning results. Spray tanning should be saved for last, please try to plan accordingly.
It takes two to make things go right.
Your results are 50% proper application + 50% proper preparation.
Failure to properly prepare for your spray tan may result in unexpected results.
